Believable Fan Specs?

I know Panaflo fans are well trusted and I utilize one in a Shuttle. However, as we all know they're plain and black. I'm not looking for bright lights, just something a little different. Hoping to get some input on the following fan:

I plan on using it in conjunction with an SP-94 heatsink. This Enermax fan claims about 7 more CFM with .7 less DB compared to the following Panaflo fan.

I'm considering the Enermax because I already have the 120mm version of the same fan that I will use as an exhaust fan on my Antec Lanboy. I would like the fans to match simply for asthetic reasons. Question is are the specs on that Enermax fan believable?
 
Well since you have an Enermax fan, are the specs for the fan you have believable?

Haven't ever really used it so I wouldn't know.
 
I have the 120 mm version of the same fan and the specs that came with that one seemed correct. I would assume since it is the same company that the specs for this one will be accurate as well.
 
one thing that i will say is that i have had to help swap out that fan in a friend's enermax PSU because it was starting to get noisy and die after a bit over a year of use.

at least with the panaflo, you know that they are pretty robust and will last for a long time, even at less than ideal conditions.

honestly, for use with a heatsink, i would suggest a fan with corrective vanes like the delta 92mm screamer or the vantec 92mm tornado running at around 5 volts. at those speeds they are not THAT loud, and they actually more more of the air that they pump down and through the fins of the heatsink.

on my SP-97, i tried a panaflo 92 mm at full speed for a while, and gave it up in favour of a volted down delta that was about the same noise level.

the thing with the panaflo was that if i put my hand over it, i could feel air coming back OUT of the fan because that fan just does not deal well with back pressure.
 
I personally have yet to see a Panaflo fail. I've had numerous P-flo fans over the last few years...man of them have gotten pretty dirty too. Just clean them up and set them into a case.

Admittedly tho I stick the newer P-flo fans onto critical parts like CPUs and the older fans onto the case itself. :D
 
check out the evercool aluminum fans, they definitly look good, and these bad boys move a fair bit of air with a very tolerable noise level
