recently i went ahed and ordered some new parts for my existing ones; i purchesed a new motherboard (abit nf7-s) and harddrive (wd 80gb special edition) from newegg, along with a new case. i skimped pretty hard on the case, and got a generic looking $22 powmax case (with power supply).
i decided against using the cheap power supply, and modded a blue LED fan into my old one. along with that, i've been planning out a lot of other mods that i'm looking forward to complete. i have 5 80mm fans inside, which makes it pretty noisy. i wanted a fan controller to allow me to keep it quiet when needed. i noticed the fan and harddrives were making my case vibrate, so i've been looking into stopping that. i never got a window in any of my cases, so there's another one of my goals. i need to paint my beige floppy black, and the fan grills are pretty restricting so i want to chop those out, too. i currently have an order from svc on the way...
-3.5" bay 4 fan controller
-2 12" red CCFL lights
-rounded IDE and floppy cables
-arctic silver 5 to allow for overclocking of my xp2500+
this build was one of the few i actually tried to keep clean wires in, so thats why i went ahed and got the rounded cables (i feel the need to show of my wire job with a window). once the order arrives i'll have all my before, during, and after pictures...for those who are wondering where they are now. enough of my rambling...i know what i have planned out and hopefully this case will come out as good as i picture it. if anyone even cares, stick tight and i should be 100% finished by the end of the week.
