I wasn't sure where to post this, but I figure this sub forum deals the most with stability.

I have an non-overclocked system (so far), and I can consistently get my machine to power down by running Prime95 for approximately 45 seconds. It barely ever makes it past the 1 minute mark.

I ran memtest86+ separately to verify that it is not a RAM issue, and the RAM passes without a problem.

I am having a hard time monitoring the CPU temperature, as for some reason the mobo/CPU stops giving me readings under heavy load (prime95 running). I see it climb to like 95-99 degrees celcius, then I get no more readings.

System details:
Mobo: EP45-UD3R
CPU: Q9550

wow, i'm idling at 78 degrees celcius, I think this is way too high for the Q9550.
