I have an mx518 that I've had for probably like 5 years now and I've been thinking about buying something new. I'd like something that feels more comfortable with extended use. When I use the 518 for more than a few hours I get this ache in the palm of my hand. Any suggestions?

My current favorite is the Corsair M65. If you like 'red' get the M40. The software stores all settings in the mouse's onboard firmware making it easy to use it on another PC without installing the Corsair software. The LMB and RMB have a really short travel which I like:

I used the Cooler Master Spawn for a long time and it is more comfortable to me but I was having issues with the switches wearing out so I went with the M65.

i have a corsair m60, great mouse all around, i use it for general use, and FPS games. i use another mouse for MMO's.

I like the look of that corsair mouse, I'll definitely try and find them in a store though so I can feel them first. I have a smaller hand so some mice just feel really bulky for me. I would say to date the most comfortable mouse i've owned was my MX revolution.

The M65 is really nice with its adjustable weight system and full aliminum frame. EVGA has just released its first mouse and it looks nice too but I haven't tried it yet. It also has an aluminum frame and adjustable weight system. But it also has a 'sizing' adjustment to fit your hand better along with an LED lighting system giving you choices of red, green, or blue. The higher end model is made of carbon fiber. NewEgg has the better prices right now.
