Beautiful Katamari - Is this it?

I'm a huge fan of the Katamari Damacy games. When Beautiful Katamari was announced, I read it would have co-op, which was my favorite feature of We Love Katamari. Well, I rented the game, and was very excited to play co-op. To my dismay, there are only THREE STAGES to play. Is this a joke? Why did they take a sudden step back? We tried to push every button, to see if the 2nd player could join...nothing.

Are we missing something, or is the three stage limit all we're getting?
 
You like the co-op in Katamari?

Shit, after an hour that game's co-op almost ruined my marriage.
 
My wife gave up on most of the options for this one pretty quickly. The online plays modes weren't really all that fun, co-op's pointless, and the game itself is short.
It doesn't suck, but the PS2 versions were better. One nice thing is that the difficulty is set pretty high.
