hi all just built overclocking pc
p8z68-v pro/gen3
sand bridge i5 2500k cpu
when I first turn on and went into bios the frequency said 103.0 ?
looked at some overclocking they all say it should be 100.0
so pulled battery on motherboard to clear ever thing but still says 103.0?
anyone got any help:confused:
my overclock works just fine and I set it down to 100.0;)

3 mhz off is nothing to worry about, generally instability occurs at 5-10 mhz off.

Ive prime tested some CPUs stable at 107. Some get upset at 105. To be honest, the only reason you would do this is to get the most OC out of an otherwise locked chip like an i3 or non-k i5/i7.

It doesn't really matter, as long as it is stable.

pretty much this, i have a laptop that im able to adjust the BCLK to 107 and everything stays stable. Im sure an asus Desktop board can handle the 3% bump.
