I have yet to try overclocking my 2500k to 3.9 Ghz using the BCLK setting as I have a H77 Mobo!... yeah I know..:rolleyes:.... but is it safe to increase the BCLK from 100 to something in the 105-108 range if the system is stable?.... I can at least get a fair overclock to 3.9-4.0 Ghz even on this chipset if I decode to do so.... My question is since the BCLK is tied close to the Chipset on SB will this affect any other hardware connected to it like RAM, or my 680... I do not want to fry my components for just a minor increase in Processor speed. But if it is possible with no harm I am ready to do it..:D
 
minimum increase for an increased chance of instability.

Most usually not worth it, unless you are trying to squeeze performance out of every single penny you have spent.
