I am building a custom enclosure for my new water system... and I'm wondering if a guy could mount this bay res ... latterally...?

Basically...

I'll be using an Eheim 1250 pump with 1/2" tubing. My concern is that if mounted vertically like that... there may be too much turbulence and force air bubbles down to the return and bunk the system.

thoughts?

(... and don't give me any of the "build your own, I did because im [H] and you are " shit either) ;)

I think it should be ok. My only concern is the fill hole seal, I find it to be pretty weak. You may want to look at sealing that up better.

BUILD YOUR OWN!! muahaha..

i think your right about the air bubbles... unless it was completely sealed and totally full of water

I have the bay-res mounted normally, it does a realy good job of trapping all the air, very easy to use also. you just slide it out, fill it, and slide it right back in.
