I have extra 3200 winnies around, so the only other thing I would need to replace is memory... and I highly doubt it is damaged. BH-5 = Tank.
 
Ok... got all my new hardware... time to finish this thing up.

Someone PM'd me and asked me how I mounted my block... Machine screws + springs + nylon washers.

Awesome looking mod........except for the thumbscrews on the outside. Get rid of those asap, they look AWFUL. :)
 
It came with thumbscrews... they were silver though.

... think the silver would look better?
 
guess they are gonna have to go then. I was conflicted about them anyway.
 
Look at that, with the silver ones it looks 1000x cleaner. Good job!
 
Kudos on the job well done man.

Regarding mountainmods. I just cant justify the price they want for one of those. $300 USD is way out of line. BUT, it is a really nice layout, case design overall. I guess if you have the extra cash to spare, it's theone ya want.

oddly, I was expecting a clamshell thingy, and was planning to cut it up... but hey... i like that they did it for me!
 
i'd kinda guessed the fate of that system once i saw the ultra PSU... but at least it is better now.

is the x850 running better now?
 
This looks beautiful! It's just a shame the videocard isn't blue or black as well.
And some people have painted over the UV neon yellow/orange on the Lanparty with black.

how is the noise with so many fans?
 
not too bad actually. the 120mm fans offer a deep humming noise, more than a high pitch whine like smaller fans. Yet they move an incredible amount of air.
