i have a amd 2000 + and 256 mb ddr ram,msi radeon 9800 pro.i have installed batllefield vietnam the game is stuttering.i tried to lower resolution and even texture detail but of no use.i am using catalyst 4.9.
 
more ram definetly, battlefield chokes with even as low as 512MB

Getting a faster proccessor would also be recommended, but htats not relevant to the issue.
 
yes definetly atleast get more ram...and you know amd athlon processors are dirt cheap i think... go for a 2500 if your board supports it, easily overclockable and maybe get the 2500xp mobile which has less fsb but overclocks way better and doesnt have a locked multiplier
 
Make sure v-sync is disabled, as this does not work too well with BFV (esp. since it does not support triple buffering).

The 2000+ is a little weak, and the 256 MB RAM is very weak. With that combination you probably also have a weak board (probably KT266/KT333-based). These are areas that need consideration.
 
You need more ram for any modern game to run smoothly, I would recommend getting the fastest ram you can as well. If you are at a point of maxing out your motherboard you might just want to wait to upgrade to a new Motherboard/Processor combo and grab ram for that.
