Hey, I have an x1950pro and all the settings are on high, including 6x AA. But the shadows are all blocky and look horrible. I have tried it with no AA and it did the same thing. I am also running an Athlon 64 x2 5600+ and 2 gigs of ram, oh, and the drivers are 7.4. What is going on with it?

im sorry but right now posting anything non 2900 related is just in bad taste.

jk, i have idea what the problem is im sure someone else will help you.:D

The shadows look like ass for everyone, Its not your machine. I am unaware of any fix at this point.

If it any help, it does look terrible on mine. It doesnt bother me because I dont game with the shadows and lighting on because it helps me see better in dark areas.

They look good on mine, OP, try reinstalling your drivers. Use driver-cleaner if you have to.

it was a completely new system build. ATI catalyst 7.4 drivers were the only video card drivers installed.

LOL, this is a known issue and depending on which ground surface you are on (which map you are playing) you will see it. It has something to do with how the ground mesh was made. Some of it is good therefore you don't see any problems while some of it is bad and you see the blotchy shadows.

i have a 1900xtx and i have turned the shadows off, it really bothers me

I think its most noticable on the aircraft carrier, but on regular ground textures its less noticable. It is kinda a pain in the rear end. but it was not the reason i stopped playing.

ya, i love the game, its just quite annoying when flying or on the aircraft carrier in oman
