I recently tried my friends copy of battlefield 2 to see if I liked it enough to buy it. When I play, I can crank everything with 4XAA and everything, but there seems to be these big boxes under all the vehicles, like the shadows are messed up...

Is this a known problem? I am using the most recent drivers off the nVidia site.

Are you using XP MCE? The latest drivers are old and have the problem you described.

what card are u running?
U need at least a 6800GT, 6800ultra or 7800 line to perform well enough.
If ur with ati only cards that can crank high are x800xl, x800xt, x850xt ect

If you are running aged drivers you will experience that problem. BF2 actually shipped with beta-drivers (or at least the demo did) to fix the issue for nvidia users. Using those drivers or preferably the latest ones on the nvidia site should fix the problem.

Geez, first of all, the thread is to do with NVIDIA cards, why the heck would he have an ATi? Second of all, take a look at his signature.
