Battle-Axe fit 4850?

Yes, it'll fit, but personally, I wouldn;t recommend it due to the size of the die.

I had the battle-axe on my 8800GTS 512 (G92), and only the 2 center heatpipes touched the GPU.

It still cooled it better than the stock dual-slot heatsink, but I found that the Acellero S1 with a single 70mm fan on it cooled my card better than the battle-axe.

I would only recommend the Battle-Axe for older cards with a larger GPU die.

I know it will but im hoping the Twin Turbo isnt as bulky in the case. I have used the S1 on a few rigs and it does work very well. Its an option we might consider still.
 
I have my card volt modded and running at 750 MHz core and the Accelero S1 can cool it passively.

You should take a look at the Coolink GFXChilla if you're worried about size; it's only a dual-slot cooler even with the included fans mounted. You won't find any aftermarket coolers smaller than dual-slot.
