I've had an odd issue since my Win 10 upgrade from Win 8.1 on my laptop. On, Win 8, it would drain the extended sheet battery before it touched the internal battery which I thought was pretty useful. Win 10 reversed that order, so now I'm just looking for a way to tell Win 10 use the extended battery first. Any help is appreciated!

The laptop is a 2012 Sony VAIO S with an extended sheet battery.

The first obvious steps are to update the laptop's BIOS and the latest version of whatever Sony software or drivers control the battery - from a quick Google search I think that might be the Sony VAIO Control Center, but I could be wrong about that.

Did all of that =/ i don't think there will be any more updates since their demise though. Control centre didn't have any settings beyond a battery save feature. Thanks for the suggestion though.
