Battery calibration for apple notebooks

Hey guys maybe one of you knows a answer to this question. I have a ibook g3 800(32 meg 12 inch) that the battery on runs about 3.5 hours or so. The problem is it thinks it will run 5.5 to 6 hours. I have looked over gsx and the only thing I can see about battery calibration is to let the battery fully charge and then run it down until the unit goes to sleep(article 86284) then fully charge it again. This has not worked. Anyone have any other ideas on what to try before I scrap this battery. Kinda sucks to scrap a battery that runs for that long.

Tried that once already. I may end up trying that and the run down battery calibration again. It just sucks that gsx doesn't have anything on this other then a public article that anyone can see.

Well the SS has more info on trouble shooting battery problems....
Just do a coverage check on your Serial number and then click Service Manual
