Any tips, tricks, or potentially life-threatening issues with replacing the 80mm fan in my Belkin Regluator Pro 1000VA Network UPS? Had this for a couple years now and the fan keeps getting louder. From what I can tell, it's soldered onto a board, just black and red wires, no rpm monitoring.

Just be sure to unplug it from AC, and unhook the battery pack before replacing it and it should be simple. Also make sure to get another fan that draws equal too or less than the same power as the old one.
