Okay, this is a bit odd... maybe I'm just not getting the joke here... in fact, I'm definitely not getting the joke here? But in celebration of... bathtub safety month... Direct 2 Drive, an excellent service, is offering 20% off... everything.

And here's the kicker - at least right now, the coupon is stacking.

So let's say you've been thinking about buying The Witcher 2. It's on sale as a pre-order for 10% off. Stack the coupon and it comes to $35 - not too damned bad for a brand new RPG of that quality (knock on wood). I might even go for that.

If you search around, you might find some other deals too. I'm definitely taking Test Drive Unlimited 2 for $32.

Type in wetkitty at checkout. And remember, bathtub safety!

You've gotta remember to be careful with those precariously balanced appliances like radios & toasters when you're in the bathtub.

Indeed.

I just bought Test Drive Unlimited 2, which I was going to buy anyhow. May as well buy it now for $32 rather than wait two weeks.

Eh.. I typically shower while balancing an electric toaster oven on my head and juggling chainsaws on a bathmat of live cobras. But stacked coupons and 10% off pre-orders does sound exciting.

Laptops are low voltage, so I don't think that will kill you if you dropped it in. The battery may short out and explode which could be a bit of an inconvenience.

Voltage doesn't really kill you, current does. High voltage makes it easier for electricity to arc though.

Seems cool enough. Still the issue of physical media being cheaper though. I looked up TW2 and it's cheaper to buy the Premium edition boxed, and you get some unlockable gear with that as well.

A "Roche commando" jacket from one site, a "Magic" one from another and a mysterious merchant selling quest reward-grade items all in a sexy little box with a delicious smelling guide and no DRM all for less money. I do still wonder why people buy games over Steam or D2D. Especially pre-ordered stuff which usually arrives on your doorstep before the official release date anyway.

I mean, cheers for the heads-up, not being a dick about it. But it's easy to get seduced by these "somesuch off" offers and forget to look around still.

Exactly. And the prices drop considerably faster on the retail side vs. waiting for a Steam sale or some such.

Guys, the 20% discount on all titles expires tomorrow. If you're planning on buying something new soon, then you might as well buy it now and save some money.

D2D is a really good service too. I can vouch for it. The Witcher 2 at $35 is probably the best deal here, but Test Drive Unlimited 2, at $32, is a nice a deal as well. I would take Dragon Age 2 for 20% off except I want the boxed copy. I think I want the boxed copy for Shogun 2 also.

What? Wait a minute, I didn't see this post. Where is The Witcher 2 selling for less than $35, including taxes and shipping? That's a great deal, but where?

I'm in the UK. Amazon, play.com and game.co.uk are all cheaper than D2D.co.uk with the same -20% offer.

No idea what I was in for when I saw the title of this thread.
