Yea, Santa brought what I needed to finish it, But I have had most of the components for a little bit now. But the case, Cooler, Short Cable kit & 500gb sata HDD as well as the blue SATA cables just got here.

is one cool pic, Id definately consider that as my desktop background ( assuming it was my machine, lol)

Love the red case too. I built my daughters an atom based sff last year and the size is really winning me over. The only thing that puts me off ( and this may only be on a few of the ones I looked at ) was the small amount of pci/pcie slots available. I really only would need one PCIE I suppose, but lol, old habits die hard.

Yea when you drop the old habbit of thinking you need expansion slots out the wazoo then SFF is easy.. I haven't needed more then 1 slot since the p4 erra..
 
I've been kicking around the idea of dumping my components into a SFF case like this one. If there's anything that will work for an i7 build in that case, you've got me sold.

Thats a negative.. To my knowledge they haven't made a 1366 mITX board.. You could possibly find someone on the FS/T forums though to trade you for a i7-8xx though so you can use a h57 board.

It runs quiet & cool.. CPU is actually a couple degrees cooler now then when I had a 92mm zerotherm cooler on it before in my antec 300 with the side off.. The GPU is about 2 degrees warmer at idle & when gaming it still doesn't get hot enough to make the fan obnoxious (I have a fairly aggressive fan profile setup with MSI afterburner so i doubt it will ever get to the point that its overheating).



To anyone else doing a build in the case though I have 1 suggestion.. After installing the optical drive double check the bezel flushness before installing anything else. I Didnt after I installed it & now the door sticks out slightly on the top (maybe 1/16"). Its not bad & nobody else noticed it but me, but it annoys me since in order to get to the screws again it requires dissembling the whole system.
Also take your time & know how your routing cables before hand. I had a solid gameplan & was completely done with the swap in well under an hour & I think it turned out very well.
 
Bastege Wondering how long you had Your LCD? Mine is dyeing I think after 17 months.
