is there a site out there that tells a noob all you need to know about vid cards. like what is dx10...what are sp's, why clock speed makes such a big difference, termonology like what is AA, and trilinear filters, and projectors...and all that stuff...

i get 2,278,692 results on google..so dont say search lol

who trust wiki these days? lol

i tried to forget that site existed...

im looking for something with more of a "flow" to it, like starting with hard ware, telling you how it works, then taking you into the bios, then what software does etc..

Start with reading articles on Wikipedia. Read links related to each piece of hardware.

When you're done reading and have questions, consider asking questions here or another board like Anandtech.

Yeah, I think the howstuffworks site is much better at explaining something to a person with no any technical knowledge background (better than wikipedia which is flooded with lots of technical information)

Clock speed is how many cycle a processor operates in one second. More cycle in one second means more work is being completed in one second, therefore the performance is "faster"

youtube is actually doing a fairly decent job of explaining...

tessalation is cool as f#$k
