Basic Video Card Recommendation

I'm looking for a graphics card with hdmi but my power supply does not have a 6 pin output. So I need a basic one without need for the power.

Nvidia GTX 750Ti is a great card as to overall performance and most versions of the card don't require external power cables. Don't know what you need the card for, but this one would hold up great as to gaming. Roughly $140-150.

For new cards, 750ti if you are gaming, 750 if you are not. R7 250 if you need single slot or half height. 750 are R7 are around $80-$110. 750ti is about $30-50 more.

Since you are a "n00bie", how will you be using your PC? Internet? Gaming? Work?
