Basic acceleration question

Alright I am using a a piece of software and it crashes when the sound card settings are set to full hardware acceleration in the control panel. It works fine if set it to basic acceleration.


BUT......
Everytime i reboot it loses its setting and reverts back to full acceleration.

How do I get the setting to stay?
