I just got a nice new set of Geil Dual Channel 2x256 3200 today and popped it into my system to see if I couldn't hit the 3200+ performance level. I've got a Leadtek Winfast CR18D with a Barton 2500+ cooled by a Thermaltake Silent Boost. I set everything up in the Bios as I've seen in a number of guides, CPU FSB to 200, RAM at the same speed, and then I start up 3DMark to see what I've improved on. It makes it to the second test before 3DMark crashes, taking windows with it. So I restart, and up the voltage to 1.75 and try it again. This time, 3DMark freezes when loading a test but when I rebooted it posted weird. I could see the specs of the processor at 3200+ but none of the drives loaded and the system wouldn't respond to change the voltage back. I had to clear the bios manually and set it back to stock speed. So my question is, what happened? And how can I fix it?
