I have this winter air duct thing, and it's finally cold and dry enough to use it without being scared of moisture.

I'm OCing my barton 2500+. It's set at 215x11 and 1.8v right now and it's holding steady at 14C.

I want to go higher but I don't want to ruin my chip.

Which kills processors? Temp or voltage? Or either? I have lots of temperature headroom, so I don't want to kill this chip with voltage.

Also of concern: my BIOS vcore setting is 1.8 while CPUZ reads it as 1.856. Which is right? I'm assuming CPUZ is.
 
Voltage kills processors. It doesn't necessarily "kill" them, but it definitely decreases their lifespan. I would say 1.85 is starting to get in a dangerous zone. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, though. I try not to go above 1.75. I believe that is about what the original XP cores ran at, so I figure that should be around where the Barton could stretch it to.
 
voltage will increase temp; but too much of either is bad (temp can kill a proc also, think of a proc with no HSF at stock voltage = dead proc).

as for finding the limit of that proc, every proc seems to be a little different as far as how much they can oc...like a snowflake :D
