bargain on dell 2007wfp?

[mattmeer]

Hello,

I found what I believe is a bargain, a local shop specialized in refurbishments is selling dell 2007wfp's (he said its ips aswell) for ~180 dollar each. There is still some garanty left on them. I currently have one dell 2007wfp, and would like to go for a dual or triple monitor setup. This would be a cheap way, but then again.. the dell dates back from 2006, 3 years old atleast. Maybe its better to save up for a modern IPS monitor, possible 24 inch? Though that would be atleast $400 per monitor..

PS: I dont live in America, so dont bother searching

What do you guys think, should I do it or not?

$180 is not much less than $200, which is what 2209WA's were selling for a few days ago. Are these an option for you? They're also IPS.

If you can't get the 2209WA then that refurbished 2007wfp is the next best thing, assuming it has at least a 1 year warranty.

in my country the dell 2209WA's are $380 damn europe! still not a very high price for a monitor here, but its obviously not as much of a bargain.

Appearantly the widescreens are sold out, the 2007fpb rev.A02 IPS variants are the only ones left. 1600x1200 resolution, 4:3, is it still worth it?

When going for multiple (identical) displays I'd prefer 4:3, but ultimately it's up to you
