Hello!
I work 3rd shifts in an empty government building and I was wanting to do some gaming via my Verizon Mobile Broadband Card (V640) but I am all too aware of its 5gig monthly allowance. Yes this card is free to me but overages are not - SOOOOO Tech Savy people out there - is there a way for me to limit the amount of bandwidth I will use while playing?

I just want to play some good old World of Warcraft so I know there has to be some way to limit the amount of data sent (or slow it) in trade for high latency times. I dont really care if its not super insane lag free game time - I just need something to help me pass the time while chatting it up with some friends.

As Always,
Thanks [H]

I had a friend that had wildblue sat internet and he was on the lowest package which is 7.5GB down 2.3GB up and he played wow everyday and never had a problem with it. He also had family members that would surf the web and i want to say that when i saw his usage graph that he didn't come close to 5GB or even 4GB on the down side and not even close to a gig on the up side.

Only games I can think of that would ever cause an issue would be like Battlefield 2, I remember hearing that that game takes up quite a bit of bandwidth. (Like the uplinks on dedicated 64 player servers were doing 30mbit up/down)

Warcraft on the other-hand, is very minimal. I actually doubt you could break even 500MB over a month of 24/7 playing.
