I got a used pump and rad from someone a little bit ago. They seem to be in good condition. This is my first loop, and I have seen someone else with similar hardware get better, MUCH better temps than me. He has 2 thiner 120 rads and the cpu was overclocked at 3.7Ghz. His case is a Antec 300 and mine is a CM690II with the rad on the bottom.
This is a cpu loop only.
CPU: AMD P2 955BE @ Stock
WB: XSPC Delta V3
TIM: Thermaltake Chill-Factor (I was out of AC5)
RAD: HWL GTX 240
PUMP: Swiftech mcp-655-b
Fans: 2 Antec tri-cools on hi with "fan shrouds" make of old fan shells.
Additives: Primochill liquid utopia (biocide and anti-corrosive)
TEMPS: Ambient 25c
Idle: 32c
Load: 45c
I pretty sure that all the air is out of the loop, but it's hard to tell with black tubing. I'm not sure why my temps are not as great as everyone else. Though, there are also a few other issues. The pump is quite load when on 4 or 5. Vibrates pretty decently. I'm not saying it shakes like a car engine. You can easily tell that it the pump. Also, when the pump is pump is turned up, is makes a "SHHHH" noise and my temps go up. Lastly, in my little reservoir it's seeing this silverly build-up. What is that and does it play a key role in my temp problems? Oh, one more thing. The air being pulled through the rad is from outside of the case.
