I use the program ventrilo to talk to my friends when we play call of duty. But the problem is when I try and talk. All you hear is static. I'v tried changing settings. Multiple mics. Unplugging my 5.1's. Updating drivers and everything else you could think of. I figured maybe it was because I was plugging the mic in directly to the onboard sound (I think). And it seems like I get interference with fans. So if I got a USB headset. Would that work better? Or is there a way to fix what I have now. My system is in my sig

ya i had that same problem when i used the nf7's onboard audio, its prob better on the -s version as soundstorm is better, but i solved it by running aoptical cable from ym mobo to my reciever and then pluggin in my headphones and mics and shit into that.

Otherwise buy a soundblaster audidalogy gamer i hear there good.
