I purchased an Acer aspire 5745 from a member out here for 275.00 shipped. It was supposed to come with a Coolermaster Notepal, but when the package arrived,no Notepal. Then when I turned on the laptop, there is a vertical line running down the display.I ask the seller what happened to the Notepal, and he said that it would not fit in the box.I also mentioned the line on the screen and he said he never had a problem with it and to just install windows and it should be fine.So reluctantly,I install windows and the line is still there.I again mention the line, stating that it is defective and a replacement is going to cost 60.87 on eBay.Seller does not believe me,and wants pictures of the line. So,I break out the digital camera and send him the pictures of the line.He e-mails me back and says all he will offer for the replacement screen.I little miffed at this point, but 50.00 is better than nothing so I agree.About 2mins later he e-mails me saying that he is sick of this"BS" and now wants me to return the laptop. At this point, things are starting to get fishy. So I decide to Google the sellers name and came up with this:http://www.indycarz.com/forum/showthread.php?87220-Skyler-Hardy-is-NOT-to-be-trusted!!!! I also googled the sellers handle and it seems to match the specifics mentioned in the above thread. It also turns out that the hard drive, which is supposed to be an 80GB Intel SSD is actually just a 80GB SATA non-SSD drive.

Your link does not work without a log in...

What exactly is fishy....is he offering a full refund?

if so, what is the actual problem?

It was available for viewing when I 1st googled it and mentioned it to the seller.Looks like someone is trying to hide something. If you log in and read the thread, you will see what I mean.If the notepal was listed along with the laptop,he should have sent it.He probably should have added insurance to the package as it was sent in the original acer cardboard box.Nothing but cardboard, air, and the charger, cable and manual under the card board.Packaging is just getting cheaper and cheaper these days.Try registering to view the tread,it is quite disturbing. Not just the OP get burned, alot of people on the site that know him chimed in too.He is a liar and a thief and not to be trusted.

I'm not really sure what the point of this thread is, you have failed to mention any names so I'm not really sure who this "bad seller" is
I also have no desire to register an account at some other forum to try and get information that should be in this thread right here, and may or may not even be accurate

if your truly looking for advice on how to proceed, read the sticky and start another thread with the relevant information
