Bad Sectors

I've been having some BSODs, small data corruption issues and general system oddities on my IBM T60 WinXP laptop. I ran Chkdsk and noticed I've got 16kb of bad sectors on my Hard Drive. I'm not certain whether I'm looking at a System or a Hard drive failure in progress but seeing any bad sectors on a hard drive makes me loose confidence for storing any important data on it.

Am I being paranoid and should consider looking past the small number of bad sectors or is an RMA under warranty in order?

Thanks for your opinion!

Download and run Hitachi's DFT on the drive, do the thorough test. If it fails RMA it.
