I am trying at install a 74gb Raptor HDD to my PC to be the boot drive. I currently have 2x Seagates in RAID 1 which I removed for the install and connected the Raptor alone. The mobo is an Asus A8V Deluxe. I enabled the Promise Controller, connected the Raptor to it. The mobo recognizes the new drive as a SATA drive, but not as a WD anything and it shows 0gb size. When I tried to install Windows (installed SATA drivers from a floppy) it would get to the screen when it asks if I would like to create a partition, but it does not show a HDD in the partition box. When I pressed ENTER to begin the format I get a blue screen error: "Setupdd.sys Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area" "Setupdd.sys - Address F77BB9A8 base at F7794000, Datestamp 41107c8F".

I tried adding the Raptor as a new drive to the current system, but it doesn't show up in Windows.

Do I have a defective Raptor?

EDIT: I installed it in my second system. It shows up in BIOS as a WD HDD, but with 0mb size. When Windows starts launching it clicks non-stop, I think it is defective.
