I just got my Mushkin PC-3500 1gig (512x2) lvl2 and I'm having some problems.

I think I got 4,000 more points on my 3Dmark just from the ram w/o the system OCed!! but then when I go to OC it poops on me.

On my old 512mb of crucial pc3700 ram I could get 200x11 and it would be semi unstable.. but could handle it to not get any problems during games etc. vcore was 1.875 I think and vdimm was 2.7.

I put the mushkin in and I cant get it to OC to even to what it used to be. I put it at 200x11 and 1.875vcore and 2.7 vdimm. I think put the vdimm up to 2.9 and still would only go to the desktop and about after 3-5 sec after the welcome screen dropped, or even during that, this blue screen w/ all this info would come up just for an instant and then restart...(not the blue screen of death) some other thing, sometimes it would just restart w/o the blue screen. I put the vcore to as high as 2v and the vdimm only goes to 2.9. Do I have bad ram or what?! wtf is going on?

Stock timeings are 2-2-2-5 I think if that helps, I havent messed w/ those at all.

I've heard so many nice thing from Mushkin and im convinced something must be wrong w/ the ram.

Please help!!

massive voltage and lots of it (3.3v YIKES :D ).... is needed.. i was thinking the same thing until i finally applied some volts...

im using infinity also

gah i suck at figuring out memory speeds on amd systems, whats it running at mhz wise?

What board allows a vdimm of 3.3? At what voltage are you gaurantied a $200 keychain?

I'm interested in how much voltage the Mushkin PC3500 can handle, as well. I get rock-solid stability with 3.2V @ FSB 230 1:1 and 2-2-2-6 timings, but is this safe to run at all times with stock cooling?

BTW, get an IC7-MAX3 if you want a board that can do up to 3.2VDimm without any physical mods (the ABIT Windows monitoring utility reports something closer to 3.3V).

3.2v gives me 250MHz. No problems..This memory pratically begs for the voltage.

What motherboard are you using?? Have you tried single channel? Maybe 1 stick is bad and it's bringing down the other. Try each in turn and test 216Mhz and at SPD timings with memtest86

It ain't rocket science...all you need to know is 1:1.
See General Forum...read the memory sticky.

FYI i run mine at 225 2.9v all the time.. when i want to benchmark or something then i just turn up the vdimm... ill be doing a vdimm mod soon in search of 275 fsb, but for now this is fine...

oh yeah ive had this mushkin for 2 months now and its never run lower than 2.8v... so yes i do believe the mushkin like lots of voltage...

My brother works at a hardware department, and hes picking up the wire, solder and see if they have a the resistor there too. I have soldering gun for electronics but the tip isnt small enough so I saw that really small tipped one at radio shack so I'll get that soon. I'll tell you how it goes:rolleyes:

heh my name is infin|ty:p I use an ABIT NF7-S you silly sally lol. And do they sell that board at newegg? Could I get a link of where I can buy it if newegg dosnt have?

Edit: I just re-read what you said, and I kinda got the idea you wernt implying i had an infinity...haha sry.

Thanks
