Recently I tried linux for the first time and after a week my computer started to randmomly hard lock. I figured I must have screwed up linux and put Windows XP back on my computer. Although I dont get hard locks anymore I get tons memory errors when programs try to run. I decided to run a memory tester and its coming back saying I have bad ram. Is it definetly bad ram or could it also be the motherboard or anything else?

Specs:
P4 3.0Ghz HT
Generic Mem - 512mb PC3500 x2
865P chipset (don't remeber what board) Dual-Channel
380WATT PSU (It's Antec and All I have in the computer is 1 HD, 1 DVD-ROM, and 1 CD-R; so I doubt I need a bigger PSU)

I've only had this setup for about 6 months and it had worked fine until now.
