I have a Asus A8N -DLX and it still has the original Bios, as I have not bothered to flash it yet until I get Windows XP (currently have 2000 pro).

When I am playing BF2 for long time that game begins to get artifacts like mad! But it only happens some times.
The Card (x850XT-PE) isn't going over 70c under full load and its at 40c idle.

Could this be due to the flaws in the BIOS?

nope. It's probably your 1GB ram. Not enough for BF 2 with all the eye candy on. The game wants about 1.3 GB if you run the texture slider on high, or much of the other sliders on high.

And sometimes 64 players on a server just lag.

Wait until you are IN GAME, meaning playing a GAME with other playas, spawn on a isolated area of the map, and do a ctrl-alt-del. this will bring up yer task mangler and you can see how much ram the game is ripping.

It's not your BIOS. Yer card is getting too hot. Get Ati Tool and turn the fan control on 100% at 50 C. No more artifacts.

Okay, thanks for the help!
I figured as much lastnight, when the card crashed on me.
I went into CCC and turned everything over to Application decide,
and everything was working fine.
Have had no more problems

think seriously about trading yer 1gb into 2gb. That will fix it so you can run everything on high.
