I recently purchased a WD 320gb SATA drive and every time I format my comp freezes at the windows loading screen right after it copies all the windows files and reboots. I guess I should also mention that in the BIOS it does recognize the drive as being 136gb but in the windows setup its 305gb(which i figured to be just about right). My MOBO is a Giga-Byte GA-8IKXW with a 3ghz Intel CPU and i have 2 pairs of Corsair TwinX ram(2x512) so 2gigs of ram total. Also the Windows CD I'm formatting with has SP2 on it.
I'm thinking I might need to update the BIOS but its being rather troublesome. I'm not exactly sure how to do it since ive only really done it once. Anyways any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
