Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I removed my old HD and put in my new Hitachi SATA and now my comp doesn't recognize the drive...anyone know why? It's plugged in correctly and it didn't come with a floppy or anything.
Mobos usually come with SATA drivers on a floppy disk so that you install them during the Windows Install boot process, and you can then install Windows onto the hard drive.
When installing Windows XP (maybe 2K, not sure), it'll say 'Press F6 to install SATA drivers from disk' and that's your cue to...press F6.
It seems like that CD thing could work but I've never done it.
if you can attach both at the same time, you could check your motherboard manufacturer's website to see if you can download the (updated) drivers and install it off the old HD. but you probably already though of that...
