Hello all. I recently bought a new 200gb maxtor drive, but now I have been having trouble with my old 60 gb maxtor. It tends to freeze the system, even mouse and keyboard whenever I try and put something on the drive or change something on the drive. I refrormated it, but I am wondering if this could have to do with its master or slave setting. If not then what?

Thanks

did you set is to CS? if so try setting it to specifically master or slave. Also, might want to check and see what DMA mode windows is using.
