Wow that's like totally wrong. It was only compiled versions that were leaked, not the code (unless you can provide an actual source, not by some guy named Furret proving otherwise)

Damn, what is going on? Damn, it seems like every game being worked on is getting leaked. I think maybe devs need to be even more secretive. It is too bad.

man that leaked code stuff is nuts... i remember when hl2 leaked... i played it :) i uninstalled it tho because i dont want any spoilers!

its so wrong to release their source code, builds a can tollerate but not code.

That really sucks. These people work so hard on these games and some idiot steals their work.

Whoever wrote that is an idiot.

the Source code wasn't leaked, just ALPHAS, holy crap he needs to get his terms right.

Lot of good WoW alpha will do without a server to paly on haha.

Whos the morons here? I wanna know why the hell some peoples million dollar code is stored on a insecure network accesible by the wan side.

These developers need to smarten up and start securing their networks better.

What they need to do is stop copying it so their friends can try them.

this is sad, every damn moron that decides to steal alphas to upcoming games is simply delaying the release of that game and screwing everyone else over.

....not to mention escalating the overall price of the game(s) :(

seriously. if i was a game developer there would be two computer at every station. one for the intranet. one for the outside internet. and the two would never ever cross but only when the coder touches the keys.

great idea for an underground mafia-esque company. how's this sound. they don't have to directly pay us or even let us in the building of the development. all they have to say is that they've found that somebody is trying to get into the network and then they'll tell our company and we'll track them down and come at them in the middle of the night with ski-masks and take their computers then take them into the woods and beat them until they bleed and are bruised and crying. then we'll take them back and say "don't fuck with ID, valve, EA"

my name for it? [H]ard-ass-vengenance. :)

i mean really. it's one thing to pirate a released version. but it's a whole other to pirate a pre-alpha.

I agree. The only way to secure your code from hackers is to never allow the 2 nets to connect. Ever.
