Bad Axe 2 + Scythe ninja compatibility question

I was wondering if anybody knows if the Scythe Ninja deluxe rev. B will fit on an Intel Bad Axe 2 motherboard or not.

Having just bought that exact combo, I can tell you that it doesn't. The mounting bracket is curved and (at least on my revision of the boar) overlaps a couple capacitors next to the CPU.

All I did was remove the bracket and file it down. Took a while by hand but it worked fine. The only concern I have left is the intel-designed plastic push anchors being able to hold the massive Ninja in place.

I have an Antec P180 and two Nexus fans at the top of the case ... I used the fan-connection-wires that came with the Ninja attached to the upper fan for added support. Don't technically have a fan on the Ninja itself at all ... idle temps for both cores hover around 34c (with the "CPU" itself reading 40c) and the ambient M/B temp reads 43. Seems good enough for the time being.

If I had to do it again I'd buy something other than the Ninja. My main concern was keeping noise down and my system is nearly silent. Hell, my Wii and PS3 across the room make more noise than my PC sitting right next to my chair.

Can someone tell me whether the ORIGINAL ninja fits this board or not? That's the one I have and I'm about to purchase a BX2.
