bad audio on z2300

Hey I have a logitech z-2300 and the control is broken the volume pod and i cant find another one for under 80 bucks so i was wondering if the control pod off of the z4 would be able to work with it logitech cant fix it because they stopped making the z2300's which tick me off.

so my main question is simple will a z4 control pod work with a z2300?
