I’ve had my AS5 for about 3-4 years. Now I’m about to upgrade to Amd Athlon II X4 640 CPU and I was thinking about using the paste… After opening and squeezing it a little, few transparent drops (water???) come out. I guess it is from sitting for a long time on the shelf. Do you think it still safe to use it or I should buy get new TIM?

Also is MX-3 worth couple of bucks more than MX-2? Or will cheaper Arctic Silver Ceramique be good enough?

What is shelf life of this ceramique pastes anyways?

TIA ;)

usually it's no good after it separates. so yup, about time for a new tube.

I haven't seen a large enough difference in performance from mx-2 to mx-3 to call it worth the price. haven't worked with as: ceramique, so can't really comment there.

Thanks,

I'll pickup MX-2 tomorrow, I think it is easier to apply...

Am I the only one who read the thread title as "Bad ASS???"? :( The internet has corrupted me.
