I have an Areca 1120, which when connected to the motherboard, the computer does not even POST. It powers on for a few seconds, then power cycles. When I disconnect it, the computer boots up fine. Anyone know if my Areca is bad?

That would be the easy solution to check, but it is a Supermicro MNL-H8SCM(-F), which only has 1 PCI slot (card is PCI-X).

That board doesn't have a PCI-X slot, just plain PCI. PCI-X will not work in a PCI slot.

Just threw it in my main rig with has a Biostar motherboard. System yells at me for not having drivers, but still boots.
