Backup

What program should I utilize to create a backup of my primary hard drive on my primary hard drive? I'm going to later transfer the file to another hard drive.

Acronis True Image is very popular these days, if you have a seagate or maxtor drive, there is a basic version of it called seatools and maxblast if i remember correctly.

It is usually referred to as an "image" when you want to backup the OS ("backup" is usually used when talking about data).

If you have a Seagate in your system, you can use Diskwizard for free, which is a basic version of Acronis Tue Image.

Clonezilla is free and good also. But, it is text-based (no GUI).
