BackTrack 2 Help Please

I just downloaded backtrack 2 today, and to my great disappointment, the username/password: root/toor did not work. So I tried downloading off of a different mirror. Same story. Tried once more, as well as on my desktop. (First tries on laptop) My laptop runs XP and my Desktop runs Vista Ultimate. Just wondering why the live CD won't work with either. Is there a different default user and password?
