I really need a backlit keyboard and yet I also want an integrated volume knob. I am sick of pushing buttons for controlling volume. I need a knob! I've been looking at a lot of backlit keyboards but I can't find one with a volume knob. The Saitek ones all have a knob, but that's only for controlling the LEDs!

Any ideas guys? The Logisys KB208BK seems to have a volume knob but all the reviews on Newegg give it 1/5 eggs! It seems there are no XP drivers? What the heck? Would NT drivers work?

Budget is roughly $100 or under.

Cheapest to get 'em (including shipping/taxes):

But I'm sure you'll find better spots if you look more than 2 minutes. And for the love of god skip the Logisys, and save yourself the headache :D

Yup. I've got the Logitech G11. Those were pretty much the same requirements I had when I picked it. Backlit and physical volume knob. The macro keys and "disable Windows key" switch are nice for gaming, too.

Unfortunately, the Logitech G11 is out for me. It's much too large for my desk. And yes, pushing buttons for volume is pretty terrible. You have no tactile feedback and you have no physical indicator of where you volume is. It's also terrible to be pushing the usually low quality rubber or plastiky feeling clicky buttons for volume that are on most keyboards. Pushing one for up and another for down repeatedly is terrible.

And right now, I have no speaker system. My old speakers died. I am using integrated speakers in my monitor! I'm using what is normally the brightness/contrast controls to control volume!

Hmm, not bad. The removable numpad is a nice feature. I have a tiny tesk (like 3 feet wide) so I could remove it for saving room. I'm not sure how well red lighting will go over though, I wish it was blue.

I was also looking at a Saitek Eclipse III. A bit too wide, but it has blue and instead of a knob it has a touch sensitive panel. I want to know if you can adjust volume by sliding your finger across.
