Backlight Bleed Test

Hi, I would just like to know what is the best way to test a monitor for any potential backlight bleeding problems and what exactly to look for.
Also, any test images would be grately appreciated.

From what I've gathered, a simple display of a fully black screen is a good test. What you want is a uniform black level accross the screen, without lighter patches around the border, typically in the corners.
 
If a Samsung monitor, you could hit the Enter button, which will switch you from digital to analog. If you're on one and don't have the other attached, the screen will turn black.
