Recently bought 2 Samsung 940bx lcds, these are my first fp's. I'm around them all day at work, but its hard to evaluate quality under florescent lights.

One's nearly perfect, the other has some backlight bleed - all other colors are even under MonitorTest. I've lost all perspective, so looking for the worldly eyes of this forum to give me some feedback. Here's a few different pics of it. I've put up a poll.

No flash low light

Really low light, closest to actual appearance

Low light with 1sec exposure to show "flare" more clearly

UPDATE: Did and RMA, replacement is much better

Well, any LCD is going to have some backlight bleed... (Dell LCD's are particularly notorious of this). But, I just got a new Acer AL2423 and it has very good black levels and no color bleed whatsoever.

I'd say definentally RMA it if it bothers you. Personally, I would until I get it right. It just depends on wether it will be worth the trouble to do that for another LCD... Also, if you tilt in back a little bit, it might make the bleed harder to notice.

I don't know, it doesn't seem all that bad.. he might just RMA one and one a lot worse, then again if you have patience you can get the perfect screen :D

It doesn't look very bad, but if it bothers your eyes RMA it.

Appreciate the replies so far, hoping to get some more, but one qualifier would be the RMA experience I would likely have with NEWEGG?
