I'm using RAID-Z to do my versioning with snapshots, and was trying to figure out the best way to backup the snapshots themselves.
The data itself is fairly large (10G) but with minimal changes (<1GB changed a month).
The easiest way would be to set up another zfs box and send/recv the snapshots as they are made. Question: I know the snapshots use a referential file system, but will sending the snapshots maintain the correct references and only store the deltas?
The other obvious way is to just do a diff using the snapshots folder and do incremental tar.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
