backing up dvd's on a mac

my friend has a ibook, and wants to know how to back up here dvd's. i have never used one beyond ie, so i have no clue what programs one would use. i use dvd decryptor and shrink, then nero on my pc. what are some good programs to use on a mac? preferrably free ones if their is such a thing. thanks

so, if i understand this right, i use mactheripper like dvd decryptor. then i use roxio popcorn to shrink onto one dvd and to also burn? is that right? thanks
