Hey all,

I am in the market for a decent backup system...

I few months ago i was looking at.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136319
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...2017&cm_re=nas_storage-_-22-102-017-_-Product

But now they are sold out/not selling them anymore.

And now i really need to buckle down and purchase something.

Budget is not a HUGE thing... but i would like to keep it into consideration (best bang for the buck, really.)

I shouldn't really need anything more then 2TB (atm) but would like room for growth. ie being able to add more HDs down the road.

Also, does anyone know of any good backup software that will run on SBS2003?
I know windows has the built in one.. and sure it works... but. eh.....

Anywho, if you guys have any suggestions that would be cool!
-Thanks,

Why don't you just buy a 2TB disk and drop it in another PC on the LAN network in your home. Use it for backups and let it sleep (spindown) when unused. No RAID, no separate NAS, and more flexible i would say.

It's for a small business running 6 workstations and 1 server. The last thing i need would be another workstation, + thats more money.

W/ an NAS you can just kinda plug it in and forget about it and it's small and out of the way.

------------
The extra PC is a good idea, if you kinda have the parts for it. (It's what i do at home).
Built it w/ spare parts, config backup, and remote torrent on toss it in your closest.

But im just looking for some suggestions of a good quality NAS that's not going to let me down w/ lots of room for growth.....
