Back case fan direction?

I feel dumb for asking, but I've always had the back 120mm fan blowing outwards (sucking air from the case out into the world, like exhaust). I read somewhere recently that it should be blowing in.

Which way is correct?

Usually its back & top = exhaust and front & bottom = intake

Don't have front or top fans.

Case is Antec Sonata III. I have Antec and Noctua fans.

The rear fan is always exhaust. Why would you want to be sucking in hot air that's blowing out of your power supply?
